Water and Sanitation

Woman Washing Utensils

Access to clean, safe water is a fundamental human right, yet in the neglected communities of Northeast Nigeria, millions face a daily struggle for survival against severe water scarcity and contamination.

Women and children are often forced to travel long distances at dawn to fetch water from drying pools shared with livestock—a crisis that sparks community conflict and leads to devastating outbreaks of cholera and other preventable diseases.

This lack of reliable water traps families in a cycle of poverty, draining time and energy that could otherwise be used for education and productive farming.

Shallom International Ministry is dedicated to breaking this cycle by drilling hand-pump wells to provide safe, year-round water access directly within these hamlets. Your support can end this hardship, protecting the health of children and restoring hope and productivity to entire communities.
