Poverty and Nutrition
The primary objective of our work at Shallom International Ministry (SIM) is evangelism, training, and food security. We advocate for the promotion of peace, agriculture, health, education, access to water, human rights, and the integrity of creation. In the spirit of Martin Luther's belief that "bread" represents everything people need for living, our support goes beyond just food.
We recognize that malnutrition severely impacts physical and mental productivity, particularly in children. SIM partners with organizations across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to raise awareness of balanced, healthy, and affordable nutrition. We focus on training communities, especially women, in sustainable crop growing and resource-conservation techniques, empowering them to grow their own healthy food.

Shallom International Ministry is a faith-based, registered Nigerian NGO founded on January 29, 2011, by Rev. Shafa S. Salma.
The organization aims to fulfill the Great Commission and promote peace, education, health, democracy, good governance, and community empowerment using a wholistic approach. It focuses on the most neglected without any discrimination.
Rev. Salma believes institutional failure in Nigeria and Africa stems from poor leadership. SHALLOMIM's main goal is to make a transformational impact on the vulnerable, train exceptional leaders, and advance the Kingdom of God. Its motto is "transforming and touching lives."
